Amy Cozette Trieger
Artist, administrator, collector and mother.
Originally from Kentucky, Amy has called Miami home for the last 20 years. She holds degrees from Goucher College and New World School of the Arts. She is a founding member of the contemporary dance company brigid baker wholeproject and co-founder of Buskerfest Miami, a community organization dedicated to improving civic life through public street performance in its 10th year.
Through her work as an archivist and her ongoing grassroots efforts to preserve cultural community identities, she has an insatiable curiosity for understanding the patterns of change in every community. She has worked in nearly every capacity of the theatrical world, and is at home in any theater. She has managed her family’s construction business and retailed artisan wares. She has worked with non-profit organizations and educational institutions, both historic and new and has cultivated a large network of personal and professional connections.
Through the combination of her varied life and work experience she has become a sensitive, articulate communicator, a skilled writer, a good listener, and a passionate, self-motivated worker. She and her husband are raising 3 cats, many chickens and fruit trees, and a smart, spunky, magical little girl in Allapattah, one of Miami’s oldest neighborhoods.
